Another fab day teaching 2 lovely students today. One was a return student as she took part in my painting on glass course a few weeks ago and had done stained glass many moons ago but wanted a reminder on how to do it.

My other student was a complete beginner and has signed up for my next 12 week course!
They both produced really lovely work and were great to hang out with for the day.

Mosaic classes today! Had a fab day with 2 lovely ladies for a special birthday, learning how to cut glass for their beautuful designs. One blue tit and one house number. Really enjoyed it.

So after a long wait, due to waiting on the restoration. I finally managed to fit my beautiful geometric arched leaded light. I’m really pleased with how this one turned out. It certainly put my brain to the test working out the mathematics to get this right, but recon I pulled it off!

Customers were super happy with the results and it looks really georgous sitting in what will be their stunning home once it is completed. Working on a new design for another art nouveau fire screen. My firecrest that I created over a decade ago is still easily one of my faves, it was an Alphonce Mucha design.

This new one is heavily inspired again by Alphonce Mucha, but my own design this time. Just a sneaky peek at my workings…

2 of my Students who were doing a regular course with me last term didn’t manage to finish their pieces.

So, we arranged for them to come back and do a half day to finish them off. Here’s what they created. Really impressed with their work, they have both created beautiful pieces. Now for me to finish them off for them by cementing them ready to be picked up next week!

An onsite repair for some beautiful 1930’s windows in Exmouth, Devon today. A panel replacement and re connecting the ties onto the secure bars. All went well, lovely family. Presently working on the restoration of 2 windows for the historic Cridford Inn. The site dating back to 825AD.

It had previously served as a nunnery and a farm, being originally inhabited by the early Britons/Celts, before the building was remodelled in 1081. In 1086 it was one of the nine small-holdings mentioned in the “Domesday Book” and by then belonged to the Abbey of Buckfast in the Manor of Trusham – a small village that’s nestled in the Teign Valley between Chudleigh, Newton Abbot and Exeter.
