About Me –
Nina Perrott
Master craftswoman, Owner of Clearsands Stained Glass
From a young age, I have always been interested in stained glass and probably spent more time wondering at the beautiful light playing through the leaded windows and the impressive architecture than singing my hymns! Now I’m enjoying living and creating in my newly built 100% off grid studio, stuffed with character and creative possibilities. All on my family run small holding in the rolling hills and woodlands of Devon, at Oak Meadow near Exeter.
20 years ago I was lucky enough to be trained in the Traditional skill of stained glass by Master Craftsman, Keith Knickels. I am now also a proud member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen.
Working with the medium of glass fascinates and excites me, enabling me to continue a centuries old heritage skill whilst combining it with my own contemporary approach and love of detailing and composition.
I am continually inspired by nature, natural design and formation. Often my work is influenced by the world I love to surround myself with. Choosing to live outside the box and immersing myself in a more instinctive way of living on our off grid smallholding.
