Work is nearly complete on this amazing geometric stained glass restoration. These have been quite a difficult restoration. They look geometric, but actually, non of the clear octagons are the same length on ANY side, and most of the blue cuts are different length’s!! Which really throws you when putting them back together. We think they were done by an apprentice, on a Friday (Clearly they took a LOT longer than a Friday to put together!) and he had a lovely wench down at the local ale house that he was keen to go and visit! Jokes, not jokes!
But non the less, put them together we have. And they really are a wonderful triptych set of stained glass panels. Looking forward to going to do the refit with Jason Clarkeson who’s been working alongside me on this project. These windows are from Al Farid restaurant, serving very tasty Moroccan food for 20 years now in the historic 3 Gables buildings situated directly next to Exeter Cathedral. Geometric stained glass restoration ready to go back in!
