Yesterday I went to the site of a Heraldic piece of stained glass dating back to the 14th century. This piece whilst was part of Thomas Tremayne estate was not originally in situe in this position and was thought to be removed from part of the main hall which may of suffered catastrophic damage by fire.

Steeped in historical change the present owner of the property showed me around what would of been the cobbled floors and court yards, you can see all the changes through the various floor layouts of this grade 1 listed building.
We are now waiting on the historical England report before we can commence work on saving this piece of stained glass and preventing it from becoming more damaged and also replicating an original version to sit alongside this piece so you can see how it would of looked when it was first created.

I will explain more about the plans for the preservation of this piece plus a replica later when I start on this project in a few months.

Hey folks, so I’ exited to announce that I’ve only gone and got myself a logo after 18 years of making and creating stained glass!! This awesome little logo was created by the amazing Carley Batchelor from a window i made a short while ago. she’s done a fab job and I’m super happy with it.

I’ve also changed my name slightly from Clearsands Glassworks to Clearsands Stained Glass. I’m feeling like it “Does what it say’s on the tin” a little more and hopefully will push some more customers and students my way. Let me know what you think!

My perfect sunday was…………………. Wake up. Car booty👢got awesome boots!. Fry up. Put roof on studio, now waterproof. Sand down all ceiling, walls and floor. Takeaway curry for dinner. Lubricate liberally with lady petrol (curtesy of @barefootwine) get back in the studio 9pm to varnish and paint and dance a lot. Banging!
