Did a small repair yesterday on an unusual 1900’s stained glass panel. 2 panels of glass were broken within the window, so I took templates of the shapes onto the new bits of glass that were matched to the same glass. Which I had recoved from a previous restoration. then carefully cut the broken glass out and splayed the lead out, ready to recieve the new glass. Cut the new glass shapes out, ground them to slot in, splayed the lead back in and cemented them in place with specialist leaded light cement. Making it all water proof again and looking good as old/new!
